  17. <p>    Oprah and Geraldo should brace themselves. The Rev. Jesse
  18. Jackson is starting his own TV talk show. The two-time
  19. Democratic presidential candidate announced last week that he
  20. has signed on with a subsidiary of Warner Communications to
  21. produce Voices of America with Jesse Jackson, a weekly one-hour
  22. program that will debut in the fall of next year, if stations
  23. decide to buy it. The surprisingly early announcement may have
  24. been meant to kill rumors that Jackson may try to become mayor
  25. of Washington in the November 1990 elections. If so, it failed.
  26. While declaring once again that he had "no plans" to run in that
  27. election, he noted that "my real interest is serving and
  28. building a coalition as a communicator." One adviser notes that
  29. since the last presidential campaign, Jackson has been looking
  30. for a "steady platform" that would keep him in the public eye.
  31. There has never been a conflict in Jackson's ability to talk,
  32. talk, talk while he runs, runs, runs.
